Neon (Ne)
Neon gas is principally shipped and used in gaseous form for excimer lasers, plasma displays, light bulbs, neon signs and Research and Development laboratory research. The concentration of Neon gas in the atmosphere, by volume percent, is 1.8 x 10-3. Spectra Gases Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are available for Neon gas and should be used as guidelines in regard to first aid, methods of storage, handling and general use of Neon gas.
Threshold Limit Value (TLV): Asphyxiant
Physical properties: Odorless, colorless, tasteless, nontoxic, monatomic and chemically inert.
